Arunachal Pradesh Tourism Secretary Swapnil Naik has launched the Yuva Tourism Club during a function organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Arunachal Pradesh Tourism Department at the State Food Craft Institute in Itanagar, reports AIR. The Yuva Tourism Club is an initiative by the Ministry of Tourism, to nurture and develop young ambassadors of tourism. It aims at making these young ambassadors to be a catalyst for promoting tourism in India.
Talking to Media Persons on the occasion, the Secretary said, Yuva Tourism Club a brainchild of PM Narendra Modi is operational all over India. He said the idea of this club is to inculcate in the students a liking for tourism as a whole and includes introducing them to culture of the place and other things in the initial stage. Naik said that the initiative starts right from 6th class and will continue till college level. He said the whole idea of this initiative is to make the members of this club act as ambassadors for tourism and for the state wherever they go or whatever they do. He also informed that in Arunachal Pradesh, 135 Yuva Tourism Clubs are formed with over 5,000 members.
