Vande Bharat trains to undergo safety assessment by RITES

 

RITES Limited in collaboration with ItalCertifier SPA, a company within the Italian State Railways Group, has secured a contract for the Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) of the Vande Bharat sleeper trains.

This contract, granted by Integral Coach Factory (ICF)-Chennai, a production unit under the Ministry of Railways, tasks the consortium with various responsibilities including design reviews, final safety acceptance assessments, and the scrutiny of test results.

This marks a significant expansion for RITES, the sole ISA-certified CPSE, as it embarks on a new avenue of business, reaffirming its commitment to enhancing ISA processes by leveraging its extensive expertise in the Quality Assurance domain.
