Sabre Hospitality, a segment of Sabre Corporation, has announced a multi-year extension of its partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. This renewal follows the successful integration of SynXis Property Hub, Sabre Hospitality’s property management system (PMS), by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. SynXis Property Hub seamlessly integrates with SynXis Central Reservation System, serving as a centralised platform, enhancing operational efficiency by reducing time-consuming tasks and enabling hoteliers to manage their properties remotely through cloud-native technology.
In a significant milestone highlighting the long-standing collaboration between the two entities, Sabre and Wyndham teams have smoothly migrated over 5,000 Wyndham hotels to SynXis Property Hub. Notably, 550 hotels were transitioned in a single, record-breaking month, nearly a year ahead of the initial schedule.
This early completion is not only remarkable but also efficient, reducing the expected transition downtime for Wyndham properties by 34%, ensuring uninterrupted day-to-day operations. This achievement signifies not just an innovative leap but also sets a new industry standard for large-scale technology migrations.
Scott Strickland,CCO, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, praised the collaborative effort, stating, “Completing this migration nearly a year ahead of schedule is a testament to the power of innovation and collaboration.” He emphasised the significant benefits for Wyndham properties, such as a 50% decrease in service desk interactions and a 15% increase in clean room availability due to mobile solutions for housekeeping.
The success of the project was made possible by strategic initiatives and deep collaboration between Sabre and Wyndham. These initiatives included infrastructure upgrades to increase daily migration capacity and the introduction of a streamlined process for discrepancy reporting, eliminating the need for preliminary dry runs and reducing potential downtimes.
Gene Guhne, SVP & Global Managing Director, Enterprise Sales, Sabre Hospitality, reflected on the project, stating, “This project was about much more than just technical migration; it was about transforming the operational backbone of thousands of hotel properties to better meet the needs of today’s hospitality market.” He highlighted the unprecedented scale and speed of implementation, setting a new benchmark for the industry.
