Air India has cancelled its flights to and from Dubai on Friday due to ongoing operational disruptions at the airport in the Emirates. Passengers who have booked flights with Air India for travel until April 21 will receive a one-time waiver on rescheduling and full refunds for cancellations.
An Air India spokesperson mentioned that the airline is striving to assist affected customers by re-accommodating them on flights as soon as operations resume. Currently, Air India operates 72 flights a week to Dubai from five Indian cities, including 32 flights from Delhi.
In response to the situation, the Indian embassy in the UAE has advised inbound Indian passengers traveling to or transiting through Dubai International Airport to consider rescheduling non-essential travel until operations return to normal. This guidance follows disruptions caused by unprecedented weather conditions in the UAE earlier this week, leading to a temporary limitation on the number of inbound flights at Dubai International Airport.
