Go First Crisis: TAAI delegation led by Jyoti Mayal met Civil Aviation Minister

A TAAI (Travel Agents Association of India) delegation led by its president Jyoti Mayal met the Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in New Delhi. During the half an hour meeting Mayal briefed the minister on the ongoing issue of Go First airline and how the crisis is affecting both the travel agents and the passengers. Mayal suggested that a regulation needs to be adopted by all the airlines to implement insurance cover on the tickets so that everyone is protected. She also suggested that an Indian regulatory body needs to be set up for all Indian carriers & airlines operating from India to set standards and better implementation of policies.

Scindia gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation that TAAI would be accommodated in the task force set up by the Ministry. “The minister also said that they could meet him any time whenever they want. TAAI also thanked Mayal for taking this initiative,” said a member of TAAI who was part of the delegation.
