Supreme Court bans tiger safari in core areas of Jim Corbett

The Supreme Court today imposed a ban on tiger safari in core areas at Uttarakhand’s Jim Corbett National Park.

As per the order, the tiger safari would now be allowed only in the peripheral and buffer zones of the Jim Corbett National Park.

“We are permitting the establishment of the tiger safari, but subject to our directions issued in the judgment,” the bench observed.
