Polo Floatel Calcutta appoints Soumen Halder as the new General Manager

Soumen Halder has been appointed as the General Manager of Polo Floatel, Calcutta – India’s first floating hotel. The hotel is the 9th hotel of the Polo Towers Group and features 58 rooms, 12 cutting edge banquet & conference venues and the iconic Bridge Bistro & Bar with wide views of the river bookended by the Howrah Bridge on one side and the Vidyasagar Setu on another side.

After graduating with a degree in commerce, Mr Halder started his expedition in the hospitality industry with a hotel management degree from RIHM Jamshedpur. With a career spanning over two decades, Mr Halder gained industry exposure across leading hotel chains in India like Taj and Accor. Prior to being appointed in his current role, he was the Director of Operations at Vedic Village Spa Resort, Kolkata.
