Odisha to build Rs 562 crore aviation training centre

 

The Odisha government has greenlit the establishment of the Biju Patnaik Aviation Centre (BPAC) at Birasal airstrip in Dhenkanal district, allocating INR 562 crore for the initiative. The decision, approved during a cabinet meeting chaired by CM Naveen Patnaik, aims to address the anticipated future demand for pilots and skilled personnel in the aviation sector.

The proposed BPAC will serve as a comprehensive training center, offering programs for pilots, simulators, and cabin crew, contributing to the development of skilled aviation professionals in the state.
