Noida Airport unveils its IATA code ‘DXN’

The Noida International Airport unveiled its IATA (International Air Transport Association) airport code, also known as an IATA location identifier at a press conference in Greater Noida. The code for the airport will be ‘DXN’.

An IATA airport code, also known as an IATA location identifier, IATA station code, or simply a location identifier, is a three-letter geocode designating many airports and metropolitan areas around the world, defined by the IATA.
Speaking at the event, Kiran Jain, COO, Noida International Airport, said it will have 28 aircraft stands when it opens its gates to the public in 2024.

Christoph Schnellmann, CEO, Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), the entity set up to manage and run Noida Airport, was also present at the event. He said, “The aim is to hand over Air Traffic Control Tower to the Airports Authority of India in the first few months of 2024. Test flights at the Noida International Airport will likely start in the first few months of 2024 and we are confident of launching operations at Noida International Airport by the end of 2024.”

He added, “We have started the process of finding commercial partners for finding airport services including ATF supply, ground handling services, beverages, and lounges, for which tenders have been floated. We have partnered with Smiths Detection for full body scanners and we will be ready for international operations from the first day of our launch.”
