Maldives invites Team India to mark T20 World Cup win

 

The recently-crowned T20 world champion Indian cricket team has been invited to celebrate its triumph in Maldives by the country’s tourism association and its marketing and public relations corporation.

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives) and the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) have jointly extended a special and open invitation to the Indian National Cricket Team.

Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO and Managing Director, MMPRC, and Ahmed Nazeer, Secretary General, MATI, stated that they look forward to hosting the team, which returned to India on Thursday last week after being welcomed by frenzied fans in both Delhi and Mumbai.

The invitation highlights the strong and long-standing cultural and sporting ties between the Maldives and India, and the Maldives is eager to welcome the Indian Cricket Team and share in the joy of their triumph.
