M. Srinivas returns to Karnataka Tourism as Chairperson

M. Srinivas’s return to the position of Chairperson of the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) marks a significant development for the organisation. At 74 years old, his wealth of experience in legislative and administrative roles, coupled with a background in mechanical engineering and entrepreneurship, positions him well to contribute to the growth and development of Karnataka’s tourism sector.

Having previously led KSTDC during the 1990s, Srinivas played a pivotal role in steering the organisation towards profitability, earning accolades for Karnataka as the ‘best tourism state.’ His leadership during that time was highly praised by former Chief Minister J. H Patel.

Srinivas’s vision for the state’s tourism sector underscores the abundant potential that Karnataka holds. He highlights the diverse tourist destinations, historical significance, excellent connectivity, and robust tourist infrastructure as key factors that position Karnataka to compete with any other state in the country.

Given his track record and commitment to the development of Karnataka’s tourism, Srinivas’s return is likely to usher in a renewed focus on promoting the state’s unique attractions and enhancing the overall tourism experience for visitors.
