Starting April 24, officials have announced the closure of the Tulip Garden in Srinagar, a prominent tourist destination in Kashmir. Up until April 22, the garden saw a remarkable influx of tourists, reaching a record-breaking footfall of 4.2 lakh visitors during the Tulip show, as reported by Decan Herald.
On a daily basis, the garden welcomed between 10,000 to 15,000 visitors, showcasing the immense popularity of this attraction. Nestled at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range, the garden opened its gates to tourists on March 23 this year, drawing crowds from various parts of the country eager to witness the vibrant Tulip blooms.
During the Tulip festival, in particular, the garden experienced an overwhelming response from visitors. However, with the end of the blooming season, authorities have made the decision to close the garden to the public.
