IRCTC’s net profit dips by 7% at INR 231cr for Q1, FY24

The Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) has reported a 7 per cent year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit at INR 231 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2023.

During the same quarter in 2022, IRCTC posted a net profit of INR 248.5 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The revenue stood at INR 1,001.8 crore during the period under review, increased 17.5 per cent against INR 852.6 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.

At the operating level, EBITDA increased 6.9 per cent to INR 343 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal over INR 321 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.

The EBITDA margin stood at 34.2 per cent in the reporting quarter as compared to 37.6 per cent in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.
