FAITH initiates discussion with the government, proposes top 10 Union Budget recommendations for balanced tourism growth

FAITH (Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality) has initiated discussions with the tourism ministry for their submission on Inputs to the Union Budget, Fy 23-24 to the finance minister.

To have a balanced growth of all verticals of tourism, travel & hospitality, FAITH has prioritised top 10 areas for the tourism sector

These are recognising tourism’s export status, granting infrastructure status, having a robust forex earnings incentives scheme, creating a domestic travel tax credit policy, putting tourism in concurrent list, setting up a natural & cultural heritage restoration fund, developing a national seamless tourist transportation policy, enhancing the corpus for global tourism branding, creating an underwriting fund for travel agents & tour operators & abolishing TCS.

FAITH is the policy federation of all the ten national associations representing the complete tourism, travel and hospitality industry of India – ADTOI, ATOAI, FHRAI, HAI, IATO, ICPB, IHHA, ITTA, TAAI & TAFI & cause partner AIRDA.
