Cleartrip launches ‘Out Of Office’ for corporate travellers

Cleartrip, a subsidiary of Flipkart, is aiming to establish itself as a key player in the corporate travel arena with the introduction of its latest corporate travel management product, ‘Out of Office’ (OOO). This tool is designed to empower businesses of all sizes, with approximately 300 SMEs and around 10 large enterprises actively using the platform. OOO processes a monthly business volume of INR 20 Crore, showcasing its impact in the corporate travel sector.

The platform’s adaptable architecture and user-friendly interface allow seamless configuration to meet the distinct requirements of both large enterprises and SME clients.

Early adopters of the OOO platform include companies such as The Federal Bank, Sify Technologies, MGM Healthcare, Sterlite Power Transmission Ltd, and ACC Limited. Key features differentiating OOO from its counterparts include the ability to modify or create policies in real-time, integrated travel expense management, access to self-contracted corporate fares, real-time invoicing, and a reconciliation engine. Additionally, a native app for IOS and Android is set to be released soon.

Ayyappan R., CEO of Cleartrip, commented on the development, stating, “As businesses worldwide experience a notable resurgence, we observed an unprecedented spike in the demand for corporate travel. In this scenario, ‘Out of Office’ (OOO) emerges as a pivotal solution. Unlike conventional platforms, it provides an end-to-end travel experience, user-centric interface, policy adherence, and cost-effectiveness—all in one comprehensive package. OOO caters not just to the current demand surge but also helps redefine how businesses approach corporate travel.”

OOO is a plug-and-play solution that swiftly adapts to organisational needs, managing multiple booking behaviors (self-booking, travel desk booking) and multiple entities in a single instance. The tool places a significant focus on policy adherence, addressing a common pain point for corporates by facilitating the procurement of hotel invoices.
