Bihar’s Valmiki Tiger Reserve to remain shut every Tuesday for maintenance

Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR) in Bihar will be closed on every Tuesday for maintenance works, reports Tirthraj Kushwaha for TOI. Amenities like jungle safari, pathway, Kauleshwar Jhula and Eco Park will remain closed on Tuesdays.

However, visit to temples, including Jatashankar, Nardevi, Madanpur Devi Sthan wouldn’t be affected on any day.

Nesamani K, Director-cum-Conservator of Wildlife, VTR, said the decision has been circulated to all government departments and offices.

The Director further said steps are also being taken to prevent forest fires as the peak summer season has approached. (Source: TOI)
