TBM Staff - Mumbai In a major reshuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has announced the appointment of Mugdha Sinha as Director General of Tourism.
She has previously worked in the Ministries of Textiles, Industry and Commerce both at the Centre and in Rajasthan, her cadre state. She replaces Manisha Saxena.
Sinha, IAS, of the Rajasthan cadre, 1999 batch, has replaced Manisha Saxena. Her new role was facilitated by the temporary upgrading of a vacant post of DS/Director in the Department, as per an official circular.
Sinha has over 20 years of extensive experience in governance, policy making, and international trade negotiations. She has previously worked in the Ministries of Textiles, Industry and Commerce both at the Centre and in Rajasthan. Prior to this, she served as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture.
