AAI adds EVs to its fleet to operate free shuttle services at Chennai Airport

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has added four new electric vehicles (EVs) to operate free shuttle services between domestic and international arrival terminals, and between terminals and the airport metro rail station. With this, there will be eight buggies in service at the Chennai Airport.

These buggies are meant to facilitate passengers, especially senior citizens, expectant mothers and passengers with special needs to access locations in arrival area, said a press release.

The buggies will be available at domestic arrival, domestic arrival mezzanine level connecting east and west wings and international arrival till pre-immigration area.
