Akasa Air to hire about 300-350 crew & pilots by March 2023

Akasa Air is offering as much as 80% higher salaries to pilots than SpiceJet, which operates the same type of aircraft – Boeing 737s – that the newest entrant to India’s aviation sector will have in its fleet. The salaries will, however, be about 10% lower than market leader IndiGo.

Akasa Air is out in the market to hire about 300-350 cabin crew members and pilots by March 2023.

“Our pilot and cabin crew hiring is currently underway. We expect to have around 18 aircraft by the end of March 2023 and the employee strength including pilots and cabin crew will be commensurate with the level of our network and operations,” said a spokesperson for the airline.
