In a significant move to bolster tourism in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched the Divya Ayodhya mobile app. This innovative application serves as a centralised hub catering to the diverse needs of devotees and tourists alike, aiming to streamline their experience in the sacred city.
Divya Ayodhya stands out as a single platform offering a plethora of services, ranging from planning accommodation to discovering hidden gems and cultural landmarks. The app provides detailed descriptions and timetables for key sites, temples, monasteries, and historical locations. One of its notable features is the ability to book e-cars and e-buses, with real-time route tracking and convenient boarding and deboarding options.
Tourists using the app can effortlessly book various accommodations, including homestays, hotels, and tent cities. The platform also connects users with locally trained tourist guides, ensuring an enriching experience for visitors exploring Ayodhya.
The Yogi Adityanath government is actively identifying locations on the outskirts of Ayodhya to provide unique homestay options in a rural setting. Families visiting Ayodhya can rent a portion of a house in Daulatpur village, situated near Samda lake. This initiative offers visitors a chance to engage in authentic rural experiences, such as tending cows, riding bullock carts, and participating in cottage industries.
These initiatives not only aim to boost tourism but also contribute to the local economy while promoting sustainable tourism practices. By integrating technology with cultural experiences and emphasizing rural homestays, the Divya Ayodhya app is set to redefine the way tourists engage with the sacred city, providing a more immersive and enriching experience for all.
