SalamAir starts 2 weekly flights on Muscat-Delhi route

SalamAir has started operate twice-weekly flights from Muscat to Delhi, with services on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The introduction of flights to Delhi represents a significant step forward for SalamAir as they continue to expand their network to meet the growing demand for affordable and convenient travel options. This new route will strengthen connections between Oman and India, benefiting the expat community, leisure travellers, and business professionals alike.

 

SalamAir to launch direct flights on Muscat-Chennai route from July 11

SalamAir is set to launch direct flights from Muscat to Chennai from July 11. The airline will operate these flights on Thursdays and Saturdays.

The flight from Muscat will depart at 11 pm and arrive in Chennai at 4.15 pm, while on the return leg flight from Chennai will take off at 5 am and land in Muscat at 7.25 am.

“We are thrilled to introduce our new service to Chennai, a significant milestone that enhances the connectivity of the South Indian community in Oman and the wider Gulf region,” Harish Kutty, Director of Revenue and Network Planning for SalamAir, said in a statement.

 

Oman Air & SalamAir expand partnership for more travel choices

 

Oman Air and SalamAir leadership recently met to mark the launch of their latest codeshare partnership, enhancing travel options within Oman and beyond. The first phase of the partnership, effective July 4, 2024, allows passengers to book travel on a selection of SalamAir’s routes connecting to Oman Air’s network, with additional destinations to be added following successful implementation.

SalamAir, Oman’s fastest-growing value-for-money airline,has announced the launch of its newest destination- Delhi, India. Starting from July 2, 2024, SalamAir will operate twice-weekly flights to Delhi, with services on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

According to the release, Delhi, the capital of India, is a vibrant metropolis known for its rich history, diverse culture, and modern infrastructure. As a key economic and political hub, Delhi offers a unique blend of ancient monuments, such as the Red Fort and Humayun’s Tomb, and contemporary attractions, including shopping malls, markets, and a thriving culinary scene.

SalamAir to suspend flights to India from Oct 1

Oman’s low-cost carrier, SalamAir, will stop its flight operations to India starting on Saturday, October 1.The decision to stop the service comes as a result of the restrictions imposed on the provision of aviation rights allocations to the Indian sectors.

SalamAir currently operates flights to four major cities in India – Jaipur, Lucknow, Calicut and Thiruvananthapuram – at affordable fares for expatriates living in Oman.

The LCC has also removed all bookings to Indian sectors from its website. Passengers were told they would “receive the refund for their bookings”, Times of Oman reported.
