Sterling Holiday Resorts Expands Presence with Launch of Sterling Legacy Shimla

Sterling Holiday Resorts announced the opening of its 41st property, Sterling Legacy Shimla, in the picturesque hill station of Shimla.

Located in the heart of Shimla’s renowned Mall Road, the hotel provides a perfect base for travelers looking to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere and colonial charm of the former British summer capital. Major attractions such as The Mall Road, The Ridge, and historic buildings and churches are within easy walking distance. Additionally, Shimla’s viewpoints offer breathtaking panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

What sets Sterling Legacy Shimla apart is its rich history. The property is situated in Bridgeview Estate, which holds the distinction of being the first to receive a “Khata” registration by the British government in Shimla in 1842, making it an integral part of Shimla’s legacy.

Sterling Legacy Shimla offers 26 spacious contemporary rooms with exquisite upscale amenities. The hotel’s architecture showcases traditional Dhajji-style walls made from locally sourced limestone and wood, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that exudes charm and elegance.

Guests can indulge in a culinary journey at the on-site multi-cuisine restaurant, ‘Shimla Zero One,’ which serves a delightful range of global favorites as well as authentic Himachali cuisine. The restaurant features a cozy dining area with plush seating arrangements and a delectable menu to cater to every palate.

Sterling Legacy Shimla, along with Sterling Kufri and Sterling Shivalik Chail, forms a circuit that offers guests a bouquet of experiences. Whether it’s a hotel in a prime location in Shimla, a full-service resort in Kufri for a luxurious holiday, or a nature retreat in Chail to enjoy stunning views of the Shivalik valley, guests can choose their ideal getaway.

Vikram Lalvani, Managing Director and CEO of Sterling Holiday Resorts, expressed his happiness about the new property, stating, “We are delighted to collaborate once again with The Ras Resorts and unveil Sterling Legacy Shimla, our 41st property located in this popular holiday destination of the country. With four properties in Himachal Pradesh, we plan to expand further and offer more captivating destinations in this beautiful state.”

Saurabh Malhotra, Director of The Ras Resorts, added, “We are thrilled to have our property, The Legacy Shimla, become a part of the Sterling bouquet of resorts. We are confident that Sterling, with their exceptional hospitality and service levels, will contribute to the legacy of our hotel.”

Rishub Malhotra, Director of The Ras Resorts, expressed his excitement about the strengthened partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to further strengthen our collaboration with Sterling Holidays. With their strong systems, processes, and extensive distribution network, we are confident that they will make our hotel a resounding success.”
