Sharad Singh appointed as the Director of Food and Beverage at ‘The Westin Goa’

Sharad Singh brings his extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the field to The Westin Goa as the Director of Food & Beverage. With 14+ years of extensive experience in operations, strategy planning, marketing and promotions, customer relationship management and spotting bar and restaurant trends, Sharad will in his new appointment oversees all aspects of the hotel’s planning and service.

In addition to training the associates, bartenders, executives and managers with technical knowledge, Sharad will also be primarily responsible of the inventory, training the hotel staff, assessing projected needs and ordering food and beverage supplies for daily operations. Over the years, he has also become an expert in formulating standard operating procedures that keep the department functioning.

His core competencies lie in strategy panning, policies and procedure formulation, restaurant management, vendor and team management, budgeting, sales and marketing, advertising and promotion planning, public relations to name a few.

In his previous roles, Sharad was associated with reputed brands like Sheraton Grand in Pune, The St. Regis in Mumbai, and Marriott Hotels in Pune, Jaipur and Mumbai. Prior to this he also completed an internship program at the Banquets Department at Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel, Maryland, USA. In addition to all the above experiences and awards, Sharad Singh did a three-year diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from Naval Institute of Technology, Mumbai.
