Job Description

Main responsibilities:

  1. Planning marketing strategy and activities to promote tourism to South Korea
    in India and neighbouring SAARC countries (mainly Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal & Sri Lanka).
  2. Developing new tour products for South Korea (in cooperation with outbound travel agencies & airlines)
  3. Developing strategy to promote student educational tourism to South Korea
  4. Liaison with Korean organizations in India (Embassy, KOTRA, Cultural Centre, Airlines, etc.) for collaboration opportunities.
  5. Joint marketing with partner travel agencies and identifying new partners for co-working.
  6. Developing new marketing ideas (online and offline) to adapt to current travel scenario
  7. Organizing roadshows and workshops in major cities (participate at major trade shows, organize events both B2B & B2C, and conducting workshops, roadshows, and seminars for the travel industry)
  8. Giving regular product training to partner travel agents and travel industry and update them with latest offerings in Korea.
  9. Planning & executing activities to promote South Korea as a destination for BLEISURE
  10. Organizing FAM trip to Korea for travel trade partners
  11. Market research on tourism, hospitality and aviation industry in India
  12. Additional related instructions given by KTO in connection with its activities.

Additional responsibilities:

  1. Planning & executing MICE activities to promote South Korea as a MICE destination (generating MICE groups for Korea)
  2. Developing new marketing ideas (online and offline) to adapt to current travel scenario to promote MICE tourism to Korea
  3. Sales calls to MICE tour operators & Indian companies to generate business leads.
  4. Participating at key MICE events
  5. Organizing MICE related workshop and roadshows.

Experience

Skills/Licenses
  1. Good public speaking and presentation skills, tech savvy.
  2. Good knowledge of MS word, excel & PowerPoints (should be able to make good presentations)
  3. Exposure to Korea tourism and related topics is preferable
LanguageEnglish compulsory (excellent written and spoken skills). Korean language knowledge will be an additional advantage (but not compulsory)
