India, Singapore celebrate 60 yrs of friendship

India and Singapore, two nations deeply connected by history, culture, and travel, are set to commemorate 60 years of bilateral relations in 2025 with a host of exciting experiences and offers. The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has unveiled an action-packed calendar to celebrate this milestone, including exclusive events, immersive storytelling platforms, and special consumer campaigns. With over 288 weekly flights between the two countries, this celebration aims to deepen ties while showcasing Singapore as a favorite destination for Indian travellers.

Highlighting the cultural connection, the GAMECHANGERS STUDIO show and 60 INSIDERS panel will allow travellers to explore Singapore’s hidden gems through the eyes of renowned tastemakers from both countries. Additionally, HIDDEN GEMS, a musical journey led by a celebrated Indian artist, will bring Singapore’s urban charm to life, creating a home-away-from-home feel for Indian visitors. The FRIENDS OF SINGAPORE platform will enable Indian content creators to share experiential travel stories, amplifying Singapore’s appeal to discerning audiences.

Indian travellers can also indulge in exclusive privileges under the JUST BETWEEN US FRIENDS campaign throughout 2025. Popular retail destinations such as Jewel Changi Airport, Mustafa, and CapitaLand Malls will offer attractive deals. Travel agents and airlines, including Air India, IndiGo, and Singapore Airlines, will introduce special campaigns to promote visits to Singapore. Food lovers can enjoy unique programming at Subko, blending Indian and Singaporean culinary experiences.

Marking this special year, Cheong Ming Foong, Consul-General in Mumbai, expressed the importance of honoring the enduring friendship between the two nations. Markus Tan, Regional Director at STB, invited Indian travelers to rediscover Singapore through these exclusive experiences and offers, reinforcing the shared bond and paving the way for a future of stronger cultural and travel connections.
