IHG signs Holiday Inn Resort Dharamshala

IHG has signed a management agreement with Aaraki Hotels & Resorts to develop the Holiday Inn Resort Dharamshala, marking a significant step in the brand’s expansion strategy in India. Scheduled to open in Q3 2027, this new resort will feature 150 rooms and is set to become a key player in Dharamshala’s thriving tourism market. Known for its breathtaking valley views, pleasant climate, and spiritual importance as the home of the Dalai Lama, Dharamshala is a popular destination for both domestic and international tourists year-round.

Holiday Inn Resort Dharamshala will offer well-equipped rooms, suites, and a variety of dining options, including an all-day restaurant, a bar, and a lobby lounge. Guests will have access to a pool, fitness center, retail stores, and meeting spaces, including a grand ballroom designed for social events and MICE opportunities. The resort’s convenient location ensures easy connectivity for both business and leisure travellers, making it an ideal choice for a memorable stay in the region.

The resort will also feature IHG’s innovative Open Lobby concept, transforming the traditional hotel lobby into a dynamic, multi-functional space where guests can work, relax, or dine in a modern and stylish environment. This design concept aims to provide a flexible, comfortable experience that caters to the needs of contemporary travellers.

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia for IHG, expressed excitement about the partnership with Aaraki Hotels & Resorts, emphasising that the Holiday Inn Resort Dharamshala aligns perfectly with IHG’s strategy to expand in India’s leisure destinations. With its unique blend of spiritual significance and natural beauty, Dharamshala offers the perfect backdrop for a memorable guest experience.
