Clarks Inn Express debuts in Udaipur

The Clarks Group are set to open the doors of Clarks Inn Express, Udaipur from 1st October 2022. The mid-segment property is equipped with all the much-needed amenities for the guests. The brand plans to expand its footprints in the south and western part of India. They are aiming optimum occupancy level by the end of the calendar year 2022.
Udaipur is the preferred tourist destination, not only for Indians but also for foreigners. This year in May the city witnessed double the amount of tourists. Generally, the destination amasses around 58,000 tourists every year, but this year the number rose to 93,500. It is mostly known for luxury staycations, more than 36% of the travelers opt for Havelis, palace hotels, etc. But there is a rising demand for mid-segment properties which provides personalized itineraries. Clarks Inn Express will address this vacuum with curated itineraries. The founders have a mission to create an eco-system of sustainable tourism generated through building local, hiring local, and showcasing local experiences.
The Clarks Inn Express is located close to Udaipur-Ahemdabad national highway. The property will have beautiful landscaping along with the heavy use of designer lights and chandeliers. The 22 rooms boutique property will have all the modern facilities, keeping the traveler’s comfort in mind, but without creating a dent in the environment. In order to address the needs of MICE, conferences, weddings, etc the property is going to have a huge banquet hall equipped with the state of the art technology. The high-end acoustic system with soundproofing will make it a perfect place to conduct board meetings and conferences.
The property will have two restaurants, in-house multi-cuisine restaurant, serving vegetarian meals and roof top restaurant. The Roof Top Restaurant will be based on Chess based theme for a different feel. The deck seating arrangement with a hill view will be the best way to spend an evening with a loved one.
Apart from solo travelers, and families, the brand is heavily eyeing the wedding segment, corporate, and MICE.
Prakash Bedi, Vice President, Clarks Inn Express shares, “We are planning to expand pan India and targeting 65% occupancy in the coming financial year. We believe experience plays an important role in the hospitality industry, and we are designing personalized itineraries for our guests. Udaipur is witnessing a tourists boom, and we feel there is a need for mid segment property. Our aim is to provide value for money without compromising on luxuries. As a national hospitality player, we have policies in place for responsible tourism. We are going to invest in technology infrastructure and going to use AI and deep tech for reaching out to the right audience.”
The brand is planning to hire locally in order to boost the local economy. Also, they will strictly adhere to a zero plastic policy and will be using locally sourced construction materials as far as possible.
