The Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) has re-elected Ajay Prakash as President, unopposed, for the 2023-25 term. While Anil Kalsi has taken over as Vice President, Hitank Shah and Abbas Moiz will continue to serve as Treasurer and Secretary General.
Seeraj Sabharwal, Jitul Mehta, Rai Achal Krishna, Anandaveloo M and Sampat Damani have been elected as Committee Members.
Anil Punjabi, Paulose Mathew, Sunil Uttam and S Somaskandan have been elected as Co-opted Members at the first Managing Committee held on the same day.
Commenting on this development, Prakash said, “I am both humbled and honoured by the trust that our members have reposed once again in me, and the entire team of TAFI. There were be challenges going forward because everyday brings a challenge, and travel agents and tour operators need to quickly adapt to stay relevant to the changing demands. It is therefore very important to infuse new and young blood into the association. In the new team, we have induced four Chapter Chairmen who have done good work at their Chapter and Regional level. Going forward, we will be looking at increasing our membership base and opening new Chapters, after the Jammu & Kashmir. The next two years will be eventful, and I am thankful for the membership for giving us this opportunity.”
