Thomas Cook (India) Limited has signed a 24-month partnership with the Moscow Project Office for Tourism & Hospitality Development. The Memorandum of Understanding was formalised between Rajeev Kale, President & Country Head, Thomas Cook India, and Evgeny Kozlov, First Deputy Head of the Office of the Mayor and Chairman of the Moscow City Tourism Committee. This collaboration aims to enhance cooperation by exchanging knowledge, best practices, and curating specialised travel experiences for Indian tourists.
The partnership is designed to capitalise on Thomas Cook and SOTC Travel’s expertise in leisure and corporate MICE tourism. It will focus on developing destination knowledge, training programs, marketing initiatives, and consumer promotions to enhance Moscow’s appeal among Indian travellers. The objective is to position Moscow as a preferred destination across India’s metro, mini-metro, and Tier 2 and 3 markets.
Rajeev Kale emphasised the evolving preferences of Indian travellers, highlighting Moscow’s rich architecture, culture, cuisine, and nightlife. He expressed excitement about the long-term collaboration, which aligns with Thomas Cook India’s 143-year legacy of innovation in the travel industry. The agreement extends across multiple travel segments, including MICE and leisure tourism, reinforcing Thomas Cook’s leadership in the Indian market.
Evgeny Kozlov welcomed the partnership, recognising Thomas Cook India as a pioneer in Indian tourism. He announced plans for a dedicated Moscow presentation for Thomas Cook clients, with a special focus on MICE travel. Additionally, Thomas Cook India intends to organise a familiarisation trip to Moscow in the upcoming spring season, strengthening bilateral tourism engagement.
