Dubai has introduced a faster visa processing system, allowing eligible travellers to receive approval for single-entry tourist visas within 48 hours. The initiative is aimed at making travel to the emirate more convenient and encouraging greater tourist arrivals from around the world.
According to the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), visitors can apply online for either a 30-day or 60-day single-entry tourist visa through authorised tourism offices and digital channels. Applications are expected to be processed within two working days.
The 30-day tourist visa is priced at AED 200 plus applicable taxes and remains valid for 30 days after entry into the UAE. Travellers also have the option to extend the visa multiple times by paying additional fees.
For those planning a longer stay, Dubai offers a 60-day single-entry tourist visa for AED 300 plus taxes. This visa can also be extended from within the country, providing greater flexibility for visitors.
To complete the application process, travellers must submit a passport-sized photograph, a passport valid for at least six months, and in some cases, a national identity card. Applicants must also provide a confirmed return or onward ticket and valid medical insurance coverage.
The faster approval timeline is part of Dubai’s efforts to deliver a smoother travel experience and strengthen its position as a leading global tourism destination. The city continues to attract visitors with its cultural attractions, modern infrastructure, shopping districts, and diverse leisure experiences.
