Taiwan’s EVA Air activates NDC connection with Sabre

Sabre Corporation has announced its New Distribution Capability (NDC) connectivity from Star Alliance member and five-star SKYTRAX airline, EVA Air, through Sabre’s global multi-source content platform.

With this new connection, EVA Air’s NDC content will be seamlessly integrated into Sabre’s global distribution system (GDS), allowing travel agencies and corporate buyers to compare flight options with greater efficiency and transparency. This move aligns with EVA Air’s commitment to improving the customer experience by offering more personalized and flexible fare choices. Additional information will be released by the airline in the coming months.

“Implementing our NDC connection to Sabre’s global travel marketplace is an exciting milestone for EVA Air as we continue to expand our distribution strategy,” said EVA Air Vice President, Digital and Information Planning, Eric Chiu. “By participating in Sabre’s extensive global marketplace and activating NDC capabilities, we are able to deliver an even higher level of service to travellers.”

NDC is designed to enhance airline retailing by enabling carriers to distribute more diverse and real-time travel options through third parties. By integrating and normalizing NDC offers, Sabre gives travel agencies and corporate buyers an efficient way to shop, book and service airlines’ NDC offers alongside traditional content and low-cost carrier options by using Sabre’s APIs and travel agency booking platforms, Sabre Red 360 and Sabre Red Launchpad. Established in 1989, EVA Air now offers around 60 international routes. EVA Air’s network includes regional and international services to destinations across Asia Pacific, Europe, Canada, and the United States.

Sabre launches SynXis insights for Hoteliers’ success

Sabre Hospitality, a division of Sabre Corporation, has launched SynXis Insights, a powerful data and analytics tool designed to enhance decision-making for hoteliers. SynXis Insights provides a unified view of reservation data with built-in visualisations and daily updates, enabling hotels to access performance metrics directly, without depending on central chains for insights. This self-service approach is expected to empower hoteliers to make faster, data-driven decisions that optimise their revenue and operational strategies.

SynXis Insights offers over 15 filtering options, allowing users to examine and compare data across multiple years and various metrics, such as bookings, revenue, and average daily rate (ADR). This customisation enables hoteliers to align data analysis with their specific goals. Early adopters like HotelREZ have praised the tool’s clarity and usability, noting how it simplifies strategic planning by presenting data in an easy-to-understand format that enhances operational efficiency.

Developed in partnership with Google Cloud, SynXis Insights draws on advanced analytics to provide six dynamic dashboards covering aspects like channel performance, booking times, and travel agent metrics. Integrated with SynXis Booking Engine, Voice Agent, GDS, and OTA data, the tool enables hoteliers to monitor customer trends across various channels, improving their distribution strategies. Sabre’s Director of Product Management, Hannah Garcia, highlighted that user feedback from prominent hotel brands was instrumental in refining the tool’s functionality, security, and scalability.

Looking ahead, Sabre plans to extend SynXis Insights’ capabilities by incorporating additional reporting for its GDS Media and Digital Marketing services, along with expanded analytics for the SynXis Booking Engine. These future developments are part of Sabre’s broader vision to provide innovative, comprehensive analytics that allow hotels to track business trends, refine distribution strategies, and ultimately drive revenue growth.

InterparkTriple selects Sabre GDS to boost growth & tourism to South Korea

Sabre Corporation , a software and technology provider that powers the global travel industry, has signed a new long-term, strategic partner agreement with InterparkTriple.

Following the recently announced partnership agreement between InterparkTriple and Sabre to collaborate on AI-driven technologies, the ambitious travel technology platform will now also use Sabre’s global distribution system (GDS) to significantly enhance its geographic reach, using Sabre’s advanced APIs and extensive travel partner network to offer leading airline, hotel and other travel content, including NDC offers.

InterparkTriple is aiming to help South Korea attract 50 million inbound tourists annually by 2028, including by appealing to so-called ‘set-jetters’; visitors who are inspired to travel after seeing a destination on TV shows or movies. The new deal means InterparkTriple will have more content options at its fingertips to create the right itineraries for their travellers.

“Sabre’s technology is foundational to our growth strategy and will help to ensure we can grow faster than the market, both in Korea and globally, with appealing content that showcases Korea’s unique characteristics,” said Jun Shin, Head of InterparkTriple’s Travel Business Group. “We’re confident this will help Korea to fulfil its potential as a tourism powerhouse, making the national goal of attracting 50 million inbound tourists more attainable.”

The company, which revealed its new name last June after a merger of travel platforms Triple and Interpark, plans to continue to develop and expand K-package tours, capitalising on a growing global interest in Korean culture, and encouraging tourists to explore other parts of the country in addition to the usual visitor hotspots in Seoul.

“We’re thrilled to be working with InterparkTriple on multiple initiatives so we can further expand our footprint in this important marketplace and play an increasing role in South Korea’s burgeoning tourism industry,” said Brett Thorstad, Vice President, Sabre Travel Solutions, Agency Sales and Airline Distribution, Asia Pacific. “You can have the best travel content in the world, but without the right technology partner, it’s impossible to grow in a significant way; it’s fantastic that InterparkTriple has selected Sabre’s GDS to elevate in South Korea and on the world tourism stage.”
