FLY91 has launched new regional flight services connecting key cities in South India, marking a significant expansion of its network. The airline commenced operations on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada–Hyderabad and Hyderabad–Rajahmundry–Hyderabad routes, strengthening air connectivity across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The inaugural flights were virtually flagged off by Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, with ceremonial celebrations held at both airports. The launch included water cannon salutes for the aircraft and special felicitation of early passengers with commemorative boarding passes, highlighting the importance of the milestone.
Initially, the airline has started with daily services on both routes, with plans to increase frequency to double-daily flights from April 17. This move is expected to improve accessibility between tier-2 cities like Vijayawada and Rajahmundry and the major hub of Hyderabad, offering more convenient travel options for passengers.
The expansion aligns with the Government of India’s UDAN scheme, which focuses on enhancing connectivity to smaller cities. The Civil Aviation Minister praised FLY91 for contributing to this initiative and supporting the broader vision of increasing the number of operational airports across the country.
With the addition of these routes, FLY91 now connects 11 destinations and aims to double its operational scale in Hyderabad. The airline is focusing on strengthening its presence in southern India by linking important commercial, industrial, and educational centres.
Overall, the launch reflects FLY91’s commitment to improving regional connectivity, boosting economic activity, and making air travel more accessible and efficient across emerging cities in India.
