EaseMyTrip (EMT) has announced four major acquisitions aimed at expanding its footprint beyond online travel booking into lifestyle, leisure, and real estate sectors. The acquisitions, worth a combined INR 169.1 crore, will be executed via share swaps and form a key part of EMT’s “2.0 roadmap” to build a diversified travel and lifestyle ecosystem.
At its board meeting on October 17, EMT approved agreements to acquire 49% stakes in four companies: Javaphile Hospitality (INR 19.6 crore), sports entertainment startup Doodles (INR 24.5 crore), Levo Beauty (INR 24.5 crore), and SSL Nirvana Grand Golf Developers Pvt. Ltd. (INR 100.5 crore). These deals are subject to shareholder approval and standard closing conditions.
EMT’s cofounder and managing director, Nishant Pitti, said the acquisitions reflect a milestone in the company’s journey to become a full-service travel and lifestyle brand. “Each company brings distinct capabilities that strengthen our portfolio, expand customer reach, and create new growth opportunities,” he added.
Through its investment in Levo Beauty, which operates premium spas and salons, EMT plans to combine beauty and wellness offerings with luxury and corporate travel packages, marking its entry into the wellness segment. Javaphile Hospitality will enable EMT to offer bundled travel, dining, and leisure experiences, diversifying revenue streams in the competitive tourism space.
The company’s stake in Doodles, a sports entertainment brand offering gaming and kids’ play zones, will help EaseMyTrip tap into family and corporate recreation markets, creating high-margin experiences beyond traditional travel. Meanwhile, the SSL Nirvana investment strengthens its foothold in leisure infrastructure by integrating hospitality and experiential stays into its travel portfolio.
The move comes amid financial challenges. EaseMyTrip’s shares have dropped over 50% year-to-date, following a 99% YoY plunge in Q1 FY26 net profit to INR 44.3 lakh and a 25% revenue decline. Despite recent market setbacks, the company’s latest acquisitions signal a long-term pivot toward building a broader, experience-driven travel and lifestyle ecosystem.
