The latest entrant in the visa processing space, StampMyVisa is keen to scale with footprint and agent network. Rahul Borude, CEO & Co-founder, StampMyVisa spoke to Ajay Wadode, about their portfolio, and the way forward in easing the visa process.
Q. What was the core industry gap or operational challenge that led to the establishment of StampMyVisa, and how has your original vision evolved since inception?
With technology shaping convenience in our lives, but if you look at the travel ecosystem, from ticketing to hotel booking, the entire value chain is tech enabled. However, visa processing still remains a highly manual and human dependent process at every step of the way. StampMyVisa aims to automate this last mile. Visa processing remained fragmented, manual, and risk-sensitive.
Travel agents were dependent on scattered documentation rules, offline intermediaries, inconsistent timelines, and limited visibility into application status.
Our original vision was to bring structure, predictability, and technology-led standardisation to visa facilitation for the travel trade.
Over time, that vision has evolved from being a visa assistance platform to becoming a technology-first B2B visa infrastructure layer enabling agents with automation, compliance workflows, document intelligence, and scalable backend support so they can focus on selling travel, not managing paperwork risk.
Q. As a technology-first B2B visa infrastructure platform, how has StampMyVisa scaled over the years in terms of agent onboarding, geographic reach, and service portfolio?
SMV is scaling both in terms of geography and expanding its ecosystem by adding value added services along with B2B visa processing. We are present in over 15 states in India with an on-ground presence in key outbound travel domestic markets and metros. Currently, we have a network of 4,700+ active travel agent partners, making us one of the fastest-scaling B2B visa platforms in the country. Our expansion strategy is driven by partnerships and a structured approach as we want to ensure depth in each market and not a mere presence.
The next step of growth for us would be International expansion. We will be entering markets like the West Asia, where travel to India is a large part of outbound from this region. The travel trade networks in the West Asia present strong synergies for our B2B model. As we scale geographically, we have also expanded our offerings. One of our most differentiated offerings is a Trip Protection Plan, specifically designed for high-risk and long-haul destinations including Schengen countries.
We now provide a coverage of up to ₹5.5 lakh, which works in protecting the travellers and helps the agents in driving more bookings confidently.
We also provide seamless global connectivity solutions via eSIM services, enabling travellers to access affordable international data plans across multiple countries. Such value added services position us much beyond a visa processing platform and also increases agents’ confidence to drive overall bookings.
Q. What is your current marketing and trade engagement strategy, particularly in key outbound markets like Mumbai?
Our strategy is ecosystem focused. For key markets like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, we prioritise on-ground engagements through trade events like TTF, OTM & SATTE, agent meets, and structured partner interactions.
We also roll out knowledge-led marketing to educate agents on evolving visa norms, risk mitigation practices, and documentation best practices.
Q. What are StampMyVisa’s growth plans?
Going forward, our roadmap includes deeper automation in document intelligence, enhanced tracking transparency, and expanding visa coverage across emerging outbound corridors.
Our team is also working really hard to enable travel agents with AI technology where they can leverage it to increase their efficiency and improve margins.
We are also working toward tighter integration with the broader travel trade ecosystem ensuring visa processing becomes a seamless layer within the travel booking journey rather than a standalone friction point. Going more deeper in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to help emerging travel agent partners and double clicking on our international expansion at the same time.
Our long-term vision is clear: to make visa processing predictable, scalable, and infrastructure-driven for the global B2B travel community.
We believe that as outbound travel from India continues to grow, structured visa infrastructure will become a critical competitive advantage for travel agencies. StampMyVisa aims to power that shift.
