Europamundo itineraries now available on MMT

MakeMyTrip has joined forces with Europamundo to bring its comprehensive international holiday packages online for the very first time in the country. This partnership leverages MakeMyTrip’s dynamic itineraries capability and gives travellers the advantages of an economic group tour while allowing one to customise the itinerary. The integration adds 600+ new itineraries to MakeMyTrip’s existing catalogue of nearly 5,000 holiday package options.

Speaking about the development, Jasmeet Singh, Business Head, Holidays & Experiences, MakeMyTrip said, “The partnership further strengthens our portfolio and bolsters our capability to unlock global destinations in new combinations to cater to every traveller’s preference. We are excited about the prospects as our capability to serve multiple destinations worldwide will grow manifold. Our customers also benefit from the added advantage of flexible group pricing, a tour manager, local meals, and the experience of interacting with travellers from various nationalities.”

Alejandro de la Osa, CEO, Europamundo said, “We have been working closely and developing the market together over the years, and we have achieved this integration to offer an even more complete and personalised experience to customers. Something, undoubtedly, unprecedented.”

MakeMyTrip Holiday packages powered by Europamundo are a break away from the traditional group tour setup that are bound by fixed itineraries and the condition of a quorum set to operate. Packages as part of this partnership are available starting from a price range of INR 49,500 (excluding flights) across destinations like Europe, Scandinavia, Balkans, Saudi Arabia, Japan, etc.

The pact with Europamundo follows a string of recent announcements by MakeMyTrip on an omnichannel strategy to increase its penetration in the packages market. At one level, the company has announced the launch of more than five thousand ‘Dynamic Itineraries’ that allow travellers to customize and buy Holiday Packages in real-time online while at another MakeMyTrip aims to increase the number of Franchises in the country by 50% within this calendar year.
