Air India unveils AI-driven eZ Booking

 

Air India has launched eZ Booking, an AI-powered feature designed to simplify the reservation process on its website, airindia.com. Currently available to Maharaja Club members, the airline’s loyalty programme, this innovation allows customers to book flights by simply texting or speaking their travel itinerary. Powered by advanced ‘Agentic AI,’ the feature reduces the steps required for booking, providing a streamlined and seamless user experience.

The eZ Booking feature leverages machine learning and natural language processing to simulate a travel agent’s role, creating customised itineraries based on user inputs. Travellers can express their needs in natural language or use voice commands, such as “Find the first flight from Delhi to Mumbai tomorrow,” and receive tailored itineraries instantly. Modifications can be made effortlessly through text or voice commands, eliminating the need to navigate multiple screens.

This groundbreaking feature builds on Air India’s successful integration of AI-driven technologies like its chatbot, AI.g, which autonomously resolves 97% of customer queries. eZ Booking’s patent-pending design has already won the prestigious Red Dot Design Concepts award and is showcased in the Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore. This innovation aligns with Air India’s vision of leveraging AI to enhance customer experiences through intelligent digital solutions.

eZ Booking is accessible via the Maharaja Club website and will soon be available on Air India’s mobile website and app. With this new feature, Air India reaffirms its commitment to deploying cutting-edge technologies, offering speed, convenience, and a human-like interaction for a more efficient travel booking process.
