TAT organises Thai Food Festival with Novotel Bengaluru

To elevate Thailand’s status as a world-class gastronomy tourism destination and increase awareness about its culinary diversity, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Mumbai joined hands with Novotel Bengaluru Outer Ring Road to host the Thai Food Festival.
Inaugurated on June 9, and set to conclude on June 18, 2023 at The Square, the event aligns with TAT’s vision of “Visit Thailand Year 2023: Amazing New Chapters” which aims to encourage global travellers to find meaningful travel experiences in Thailand.

The Thai Food Festival was inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Nitirooge Phoneprasert – Consul General, Royal Thai Consulate, Chennai, along with Supatra Sawaengsri – Executive Director & Consul (Commercial), Thai Trade Center, Mumbai and curated by Master Chef Patharawut Mungjit, Executive Chef, Novotel Chiang Mai Nimman Jurneyhub, Thailand.

The event invited guests to indulge in an exceptional culinary journey and savour Thailand’s rich and vibrant flavours.

“I am very excited to be visiting India and sharing my love of Thai cuisine with the people. I believe that food is a great way to bring people together, and I hope my food will help bridge the gap between our two cultures.” Chef Patharawut Mungjit shared during the festival.
The guests were treated to a wide array of delectable Thai dishes, each carefully crafted to showcase the distinctive ingredients and techniques that define Thai cuisine such as Banana bud fritters, Shrimp cake, Phad Thai, Lamb Massamun curry, Chicken Green curry, Kaeng Hang-lay, Banana in coconut milk and Mango & sticky rice, to name a few.

Sandeep Johri, General Manager of Novotel Bengaluru Outer Ring Road, added, “We are excited to present the Thai Food Festival at The Square, offering our guests a wonderful opportunity to explore the exquisite flavours of Thailand. It is also a matter of pride for us that we could partner with our sister hotel Novotel at Chiang Mai in Thailand and the Tourism Authority of Thailand – Mumbai.”
