EaseMyTrip unveils Theerth Yatri Sewa Booth in Ayodhya for information & hotel bookings

The Theerth Yatri Sewa Booth is strategically set up to guide and assist pilgrims visiting the Ram Lalla temple and other significant religious sites in Ayodhya. A major focus of this initiative is empowering the local community. By hiring and training local youth graduates from Ayodhya and nearby towns as “Theerth Sevaks,” the booth not only provides pilgrims with knowledgeable guides but also opens avenues for meaningful employment. The trained Sevaks will offer visitors insights into Ayodhya’s cultural, historical, and spiritual significance, enriching their experience while contributing to the local economy.

The booth offers a variety of services tailored to pilgrims’ needs, including detailed information about the Ram Lalla temple, assistance with Sugam Darshan bookings, special aarti arrangements, and wheelchair accessibility. EasyDarshan ensures that the booth staff is well-equipped with knowledge and expertise to provide accurate and helpful information, making it a reliable resource for visitors.

In addition to its role at the booth, EasyDarshan is collaborating with the Ayodhya Development Authority to address the rising demand for accommodations in the city. With the current hotel infrastructure unable to meet the needs of the increasing number of pilgrims, EasyDarshan is actively supporting the development of homestays in and around Ayodhya. This effort aims to provide comfortable, affordable lodging while promoting community participation in the growing tourism economy.

The partnership integrates BNZ Green’s blockchain-based carbon offset program into EaseMyTrip’s booking system. Travellers can now calculate their flights’ carbon emissions in real-time, purchase carbon credits, and receive verifiable certificates securely stored on the blockchain. This initiative aims to foster responsible tourism by encouraging users to offset their carbon footprints seamlessly.

EaseMyTrip.com has received approval to acquire Planet Education Australia Pty Ltd, an Australia-based comprehensive education services provider making a strategic investment of 49% paid-up share capital. This strategic investment marks EaseMyTrip’s entry into the international study tourism and strengthens its position in the tourism industry.

Founded in 1999, Planet Education has established itself as a education service provider with over 25 years of industry experience. The company offers comprehensive study abroad services, including expert counselling, university placements, and visa assistance, with an impressive track record of helping over 45,000 students achieve their international education goals. Planet Education maintains its headquarters in Australia with its head office in Sydney, operating through a network of 25 offices globally.

This acquisition aligns with EaseMyTrip’s vision to expand its service offerings and create a more comprehensive travel ecosystem for its customers while tapping into study tourism.
