Sabre Corporation has strengthened its partnership with Qantas through an extended multi-year distribution agreement. This collaboration reaffirms Sabre’s role in offering comprehensive access to Qantas’ New Distribution Capability (NDC) content. By maintaining a broad range of travel options, this agreement ensures that travel agencies worldwide have enhanced flexibility in booking and servicing Qantas flights.
Kathryn Robertson, Qantas Executive Manager, Global Sales & Distribution, emphasised the importance of the renewed partnership. “Our collaboration with Sabre is crucial to delivering seamless shopping and booking experiences for both travelers and agencies. With Sabre’s global marketplace, we look forward to offering even greater flexibility and choice,” she noted, highlighting Qantas’ commitment to evolving retailing strategies to meet dynamic travel demands.
The partnership dates back to Sabre’s early adoption of Qantas’ NDC content in 2021, demonstrating a shared commitment to advancing travel distribution technologies. The renewed agreement grants Sabre-connected agents continued access to Qantas’ full spectrum of EDIFACT and NDC offers, ensuring a comprehensive range of options for their customers.
Chris Wilding, Senior Vice President of Air Distribution at Sabre, celebrated the partnership’s progression. “We are thrilled to be a trusted partner for Qantas, aligning with their strategy to provide enhanced personalisation and flexibility. Together, we aim to create a marketplace that meets the demands of today’s dynamic travel ecosystem,” he said, underlining the shared vision for innovation and growth.
