In a much-anticipated comeback, Restaurant Botta has reopened at Glacier 3000 after a devastating fire in 2022. Officially inaugurated on November 14, 2024, the new architectural marvel, designed by renowned architect Mario Botta, blends modern elegance with the grandeur of the Swiss Alps. The establishment now features three unique dining experiences: the fine-dining Botta Restaurant, the casual Le 3 Restaurant, and the cozy, chalet-style Le Carnotzet, each offering something special for visitors.
The complex also boasts a 250-square-meter panoramic terrace accessible by lift, offering breathtaking views of the Alps. Beyond dining, the space is ideal for hosting events, meetings, and seminars, making it a versatile addition to Glacier 3000. The reopening has further cemented the destination’s reputation as a hub for culinary and scenic excellence.
On November 23, 2024, Vidhya Chettiar, Market Director of the Lake Geneva Region, and Bernhard Tschannen, CEO, Glacier 3000, hosted a grand event to celebrate the reopening of Restaurant Botta. The gathering welcomed over 100 industry leaders, including notable representatives such as Lorenza Scamara from Goldenpass Train and Martin Oeschger from CGN Cruise, marking a remarkable showcase of the restaurant’s revival.
Restaurant Botta’s return is a milestone for the region, combining world-class cuisine with unparalleled alpine beauty. It redefines the dining experience at Glacier 3000, offering visitors a chance to savor Indian cuisine and traditional Swiss dishes alongside panoramic views, all within an extraordinary architectural masterpiece.
