Mumbai Airport Introduces Revolutionary E-Gates, Slashing Entry Time to Less Than a Minute

According to a report in The Times of India, entry into Mumbai airport’s two terminals is now easier as the number of e-gates, both for DigiYatra passengers and others, has been doubled.

“The queue to enter the airport’s terminal buildings can at times stretch long, depending on the time and season of travel. For passengers who are running late, a long waiting time to enter the terminal could mean missing the flight for having reported late at the check-in counter,” said an Airport Official.

Terminal entry points

Now: 68

  • DigiYatra passengers can breeze through e-gates without needing to show ticket, boarding pass, or identity
  • Airport will deploy AI-ML-enabled (artificial intelligence & machine learning) cameras to enhance overall kerbside security (Source The TOI)
