Jumeirah has named Thomas B. Meier as its new Chief Executive Officer. With extensive expertise, Thomas has been instrumental in Jumeirah’s growth and will now lead the brand’s ambitious Mission 2030 strategy. His leadership will focus on sustainable growth and doubling Jumeirah’s portfolio by 2030 through international expansion.
As CEO, Thomas will drive Jumeirah’s efforts to solidify its position as a luxury hospitality pioneer. The brand plans to set new industry standards while enriching guest experiences that celebrate culture and connection. Building on Jumeirah’s strong legacy, Thomas’s vision is to deliver innovative services and enhance the brand’s global presence, ensuring it remains at the forefront of luxury hospitality.
Thomas previously served as Chief Operating Officer and later as Interim CEO, playing a pivotal role in Jumeirah’s expansion into Africa in 2024 with launches like Jumeirah Thanda Island in Tanzania and Jumeirah Thanda Safari in South Africa. He also strengthened the leadership team and guided other major projects. With a distinguished career, including key roles at brands like Raffles, Thomas brings decades of expertise to his new role.
Jumeirah recently unveiled high-profile properties such as Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab in the UAE, Jumeirah Red Sea in Saudi Arabia, and Jumeirah Le Richemond Geneva in Switzerland. Operating 30 properties across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia, the brand is actively pursuing opportunities in major cities and resorts globally. With its bold ambitions, Jumeirah aims to redefine luxury hospitality for the world’s most discerning travellers.
