Dragon boat racing has ancient origins, but the modern version started in Hong Kong in 1976. This fast-paced sport, hosted annually, draws hundreds of thousands of spectators and visitors, offering them the chance to enjoy the races and experience the rich, authentic local culture.

This year’s event features race categories for all ages and a colorful fancy dress competition. A food lane along the Avenue of Stars will run for nine days, from June 8 to June 16, offering local craft beer, refreshing desserts, and ice-cold drinks.

The vibrant Fancy Dress Competition, with teams dressing as different characters, always creates a lively atmosphere.
