To meet the growing interest in international travel to and from India, Etihad Airways, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, intends to introduce flight routes to Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram. These two additional services are set to begin on January 1.
Presently, Etihad, alongside its affiliated airline Air Arabia, collectively manages a network of 232 weekly flights, serving 10 crucial gateways in India.
“India is one of the largest and most crucial markets for Etihad. Since its inception, our network planning has been pragmatic, strategically embracing new opportunities in response to the growing demand and development in the region,” said Salil Nath, Etihad’s India head.
He said this approach has consistently propelled the expansion of the airline’s network in India.
At present, the airline has not exhausted its bilateral weekly seat allocation to and from India. (Source: FE)
