AAI to undertake renovation of old terminal of Pune Airport

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is set to launch a significant renovation project at Pune Airport’s Old Terminal Building to boost passenger capacity and modernise facilities. The move is part of AAI’s nationwide plan to upgrade airport infrastructure and enhance the overall travel experience for passengers.

AAI announced the project in a tweet, stating, “The Airports Authority of India is advancing on a transformative journey to redefine and enhance the Travel Experience for Passengers at its Airports Nationwide. In this exercise to further improve upon the travel experience of passengers at Pune Airport, the organisation has invited tenders from eligible contractors for the work of ‘Reconstruction of Old Terminal Building’ at @aaipunairport. Tendering process is online.

The renovation will involve a complete overhaul of the old terminal, including structural upgrades and the modernisation of facilities. The primary objective is to increase the airport’s capacity to accommodate more passengers and improve the efficiency of airport operations.

This redevelopment is expected to provide a smoother and more comfortable travel experience for passengers by offering enhanced services and amenities at Pune Airport.

AAI has opened the tendering process to eligible contractors, inviting them to participate in this transformative project. Further details, including submission deadlines, are available on the NIC’s CPP-portal and the AAI website.
