Spread across 12,500 square metres and built at a cost of INR 298 crore, the Archaeological Experiential Museum highlights Vadnagar’s 2,500-year-old cultural heritage. The first-of-its-kind museum in India offers an immersive experience of archaeological sites, showcasing over 5,000 artefacts, including coins, tools, ornaments, and organic materials. Visitors can explore nine thematic galleries and view excavation remains through a specially designed walkway.
The Union minister also inaugurated a INR 33.50 crore taluka-level sports complex in Vadnagar. Spanning 34,235 square metres, it features a multi-purpose indoor hall for various sports and a 200-bed hostel accommodating 100 boys and 100 girls. Additionally, the Prerna Complex, which includes the renovated primary school where PM Modi studied, was unveiled. This INR 72 crore project blends education and moral values with advanced technology to inspire future generations.
Vadnagar, known for its historical significance and landmarks like the Kirti Toran and Sharmistha Lake, continues to draw attention for its rich heritage. The newly inaugurated facilities aim to promote cultural pride, sports, and education, offering transformative experiences to visitors and students nationwide.
