The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the financial year 2023-24 and conducted elections for the 2024-26 term on September 16, 2024, at The Metropolitan Hotel & Spa, New Delhi. A key highlight of the event was the election of new office bearers, with leadership poised to drive transformative growth in India’s adventure tourism sector. The AGM emphasised the association’s focus on sustainable adventure tourism, with ATOAI President Ajeet Bajaj outlining the collective achievements over the past year.
The elections for the 2024-26 term were conducted under the supervision of Returning Officer Rajiv Kohli, resulting in the unopposed election of key office bearers. Ajeet Bajaj, Padmashri Awardee and Managing Director of Snow Leopard Adventures Pvt. Ltd., was re-elected as President, along with other senior office bearers such as Senior Vice President Vaibhav Kala of Aquaterra Adventures, Vice President Arshdeep Anand, Honorary Secretary Ronny Gulati, and Honorary Treasurer Nirat Bhatt. Executive Committee members include prominent industry leaders like Vishwas Makhija and Milind Bhide.
The newly elected team aims to strengthen partnerships with government agencies and industry stakeholders to boost India’s reputation as a premier destination for adventure tourism. Their vision for the next term focuses on implementing progressive policies and enhancing safety standards while promoting eco-conscious practices within the sector.
The AGM concluded with a Fellowship Dinner that celebrated the association’s unity and shared vision. Esteemed guests, including Col. Vijay Singh and Brigadier Ashok Abbey, commended ATOAI’s efforts in raising industry standards, reinforcing the association’s vital role in positioning India as a global leader in adventure tourism.
