Air India Express has introduced a daily flight service connecting Delhi, Guwahati, and Dimapur, effective January 1. The new operations aim to improve connectivity between these important destinations. The Airbus A320 flight will depart from Delhi at 10:25 a.m., make a 35-minute layover in Guwahati, and then proceed to Dimapur, landing at 2:40 p.m. On the return journey, the flight will depart Dimapur at 3:20 p.m., stop at Guwahati, and arrive in Delhi at 7:40 p.m.
This service is expected to boost travel convenience for passengers commuting between the three cities, especially in the northeast region. By linking the capital city with Guwahati and Dimapur, the airline aims to streamline travel and enhance passenger comfort. This new route is part of Air India Express’s larger commitment to expanding its footprint across India’s northeastern states.
Towards the end of 2024, Air India Express announced an increase in operations from Guwahati, Agartala, and Imphal as part of its winter schedule. The airline’s enhanced presence in the region reflects its strategy to support economic growth and tourism in the northeast. The daily flights also ensure smoother transit for both leisure and business travellers exploring this culturally rich region.
With the introduction of this route, Guwahati’s role as a key hub in connecting the northeast to the rest of India has been further solidified. The expansion is not only a boon for frequent flyers but also aligns with the airline’s long-term goal of strengthening domestic connectivity. Passengers can now enjoy more seamless travel experiences within these regions.
