MPTB showcased state’s tourism potential at the 19th Regional Convention of FHRAI in Nashik

Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) participated in the recently concluded 19th Regional Convention in Nashik organised by the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association of India (FHRAI). In the three-day event, the tourism board showcased possibilities in the hospitality and tourism industry and also invited them to invest in Madhya Pradesh.

Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary, Department of Tourism and Culture, MP Govt. and Managing Director of Tourism Board, said, “Madhya Pradesh is a state that reflects the true culture & heritage of India complemented by warm Hospitality. Through the amalgamation of various communities and castes, the folklore and historical monuments makes Madhya Pradesh one of the most sought after tourist destinations. Madhya Pradesh has a lot to offer for every traveller with a world-class Hospitality. A good number of tourists visit natuentric pollution free destinations and get them rejuvenated and relaxed. Madhya Pradesh offers Yoga, Meditation, Panchkarma & Spa centres for the tourists. We have played an active role in shaping the tourism sector to bounce back from the pandemic and to welcome our travellers in India. Participation in this convention will connect us with prominent partners and help us to showcase the tremendous tourism potential that Madhya Pradesh possess. This event will contribute towards achieving our goals of increasing footfalls to the state.

Throwing light on the investment policy, Shukla said that the tourism board has tweaked its investment policies to prompt the private sector to directly invest in the state. “This is an agile, asset-light policy that is investment friendly. We will do some hand-holding for those who want to invest here through an investment cell created by the tourism board. We are also investing in film sector tourism, as well as other allied activities such as skilling and training,”

Yuvraj Padole, Deputy Director, Tourism Board, showcased destinations of Madhya Pradesh via audio-visual presentation. He said, “The State govt. is setting up many tourism projects through private investment. We are promoting the state as the destination that fits into the frame of experiential activities. Responsible Tourism, Activity filled tourism, Wellness, and Mindful tourism. We are into the promotion of Homestays, Gramstays, and Farmstays as a safe and culturally rich stay option for the guests to experience the rich Rural Culture, Food, and Traditions of the State and have healthy non polluted experiences. We have special itineraries created for our source markets to promote Destination Madhya Pradesh.”
