The Thailand Travel Mart (TTM+ 2024) has officially been inaugurated at the JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa, Phang-nga, Thailand.
Inaugurating the event, Sermsak Pongpanit, Minister of Tourism and Sports, Thailand, said, “This event will provide an opportunity for us to connect and explore investment potential, especially as the Thai tourism industry is now being re-energised.’
He also said that tourism is not just about attracting visitors. “It is about forging connections and creating opportunities for all Thai nationals,” pointed out Pongpanit.
“We are also committed to fostering sustainable tourism practices and leveraging its power to ensure that the benefits of tourism reach every corner of Thailand”, the Minister said.
Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) also spoke on the occasion, and said that the event is being attended by 425 international buyers from 50 countries and 430 Thai sellers who will meet with their business partners in the appointment session through the period of the event until June 7.
